Come Fly With me, come fly away!

2019 Missions trip to benelux

For some time now I have been wanting to do an AYC missions trip. It has not been something I vocalized much as I felt it would be impossible for me to be able to raise the funds or get the time off to go. Also, I felt I had aged out of that part of my life.

After attending Hyphen Tour in Conroe this year I came home challenged and felt like it was time I just do it, I just apply and commit to raising the funds to attend. When I first saw the destinations revealed this year the Benelux trip stood out to me. Every time I would look at the page and dream about going on a trip I always gravitated to Benelux. So once returning home from  Texas, I did it! I applied! Now the hard work begins, raising the funds!

The trip will take place July 5 – July 15, 2019.

History of Benelux

A little history on Benelux. Admittedly when I first read this location I didn’t know where it was so I did what I do best, Googled it.

Benelux is a politico-economic union of three neighboring states in western Europe, much like “New England” here in the US. Benelux is comprised of Belguim, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Fun Fact: the name Benelux comes from the first few letters of each state’s names, very original. 😉

What are you gonna do there?

We will be assisting the local missionaries to the region, Bro. and Sis. Jeremy Favors as well as Bro. and Sis. Allan Calhoun

When in Brussels, Belgium we will be helping the homeless. There will also be outreach and evangelistic services to share with them the love of God. It is estimated in the small region of Benelux there are 32k+ people sleeping homeless per night.

In each state, we will have the opportunity to participate in worship and evangelism to reach the lost.

We will also have the opportunity to see world-famous canals, amazing architecture, big cities, rustic villages, and medieval castles.

How can you get involved?

First and foremost I covet your prayers! Prayers for safe travels, a great time of networking but most of all prayers that God will move mightly. In a region where there are so many hurting people as the homeless number continues to rise, these people need hope! Additionally, with the majority of the population being Catholic or non-religious, Benelux needs the gospel!

Lastly, if you want to contribute financially to this excursion I would love to have your support.  You can can contribute on my Benelux Missions Trip GoFundMe page. The financial burden I am facing for this opportunity is $3,750 for the trip cost with an additional $300 needed for a flight from Phoenix to NYC.

I am looking forward to sharing the amazing signs, wonders, and miracles we experience this summer in Benelux with you!
